Liz
founded The Zam Group to bring together her passions for natural
products and entrepreneurship. Liz’s expertise is establishing new
brands in highly competitive markets and with limited resources, which
she has done successfully throughout her career since starting her first
business at age 14. Liz is sought out by
entrepreneurs, investment firms, and global consumer products companies
because of her expertise in building brands targeting
the lifestyle of health and sustainability (LOHAS) market.
Prior to founding Zam, Liz was responsible for new
ventures, marketing, and international business for Gaiam. She helped
the company grow to over $200 million in sales by
pioneering new mind-body health products and achieving distribution to
over 25,000 retail outlets, including chains such as Kroger, Safeway,
Whole Foods Market, and Bath & Body Works. Prior to joining Gaiam, Liz
was chosen to lead market development for two venture-backed start-up
companies, Requisite Technology and RealNetworks. At both companies, she
helped to achieve leadership positions against Microsoft and IBM.
Earlier in her career, Liz led operations at Citicorp Diners Club as the
youngest division leader in the company’s history. She also helped to
create the company’s direct marketing division.
Liz has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of
Management at Northwestern University and graduated with honors with a
BS in Marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is a
certified yoga instructor, avid hiker, skier, and runner. She lives in
Denver with her husband, Jason.
